The flowers are white with a touch of coral pink in center in early spring. The soft velvety foliage has a pungent fragrant (some find it pleasant) and will have brilliant fall colouring if planted in a sunny spot. They are semi-evergreen so do not cut them back in the fall.
It is an excellent groundcover for the most difficult sites in sun or shade.
